Short Description
 The focus of the Solar Energy Incentive Program, through the RERP, is to support the development and implementation of solar thermal and solar photovoltaic technologies in Illinois.

Description

The Department may provide up to, but not more than, the incentive awards outlined in the subsections below:

Solar Thermal: The Department may provide up to, but not more than, an incentive award equal to 30 percent of eligible project costs per project, with a maximum incentive amount of $250,000 for a solar thermal project that includes monitoring equipment.

LEED Solar Photovoltaic: The Department may provide up to, but not more than, an incentive of $3.00 per watt (DC) of installed photovoltaic capacity up to $250,000 on a facility that targets, registers for, and achieves LEED-Silver, Gold, or Platinum certification.

Innovative Solar Photovoltaic: The Department may provide up to, but not more than an incentive of $3.25 per watt (DC) of installed photovoltaic capacity up to $250,000 for an innovative solar photovoltaic installation.
