2013 Governor's Export Awards
Exports are a vital component of the Illinois economy and an important factor for continued economic growth. The State of Illinois takes great pride in its export successes, which is why the Governor’s Export Awards were established to recognize small and medium-sized businesses and organizations that work to promote export awareness for Illinois’ products and services.
The Governor’s Export Awards program is designed to highlight the significant contribution of exports to Illinois’ economy. Illinois companies and organizations may submit an export award application in the following categories: New Exporter, Exporter Continuing Excellence, Exporter of the Year, Export Awareness and Development, and Agricultural Business Exporter. Deadline for submitting applications is 4:00 p.m. July 10, 2013.
Awards will be presented at the 2013 Governor’s Export Awards Reception on July 31, 2013 at the Union League Club of Chicago.

National Export Initiative

The President has a goal of doubling exports over the next five years, an increase that will support two million American jobs. For the first time, the United States will have a government-wide export-promotion strategy with focused attention from the President and his Cabinet.
